Welcome to the CESA Recreation page. The CESA Recreation program is a volunteer led program for ages 4-19, designed to allow players of all ability to get out on the field and enjoy the beautiful game! We offer recreation programs for players in the U6-U15 age groups every Fall and Spring, while our U19 programs are only available in the fall due to high school soccer taking place. Recreation teams practice two nights a week and have games on Saturdays.
Complete program details and registration information for each age group and program can be found on the recreational program tabs to the left. CESA does allow teams to stay together from Fall to Spring ONLY if players remain in the correct age group.
Make sure during the registration process to choose the correct practice field location. If you do not choose the correct practice location we can not guarantee that we will be able to move your player.
***ALL OTHER REQUESTS are not guaranteed and therefore are not eligible for refunds***
For any other information concerning the Recreation Program, please see the other information available through the menus and links of this web site and please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Location Information
CESA Greenville offers three practice location preferences for recreation players to choose from, however we may not always be able to accommodate location request due to team/space availability at any given location:
We also offer 2 satellite programs throughout the Upstate for players in the surrounding Greenville community:

Players must provide their own soccer ball.
Practices & Games
In an effort to offer greater scheduling flexibility for all teams, and minimize travel on the weekends for players and families, all age groups in our CESA Recreation Program will play in the CESA Developmental League. Games for ALL recreation teams will be on Saturdays:
Practices are held Monday through Friday from either 5:00-6:30 or 6:30-8:00 at our 3 locations: Brushy Creek, MeSA or Wenwood.
Coaches
The recreation teams are coached by parent and independent volunteers. The only requirement for our volunteers is that they enjoy working with kids and enjoy helping kids develop on and off the field.
Soccer experience is not a coaching requirement. All coaches are required to obtain a coaching license based on the age group through US Youth Soccer, complete Sexual Abuse Training, safe and healthy playing environment, and complete a Background Check.
CESA strives to place every child on a team who wants to play, but we can only form as many teams as we have coaches for. Not only do we support our volunteer coaches, the success of the club relies heavily on families volunteering!
The volunteer coach is one of the most integral parts of CESA Recreation and we value their dedication and commitment to ensuring that our kids are safe and having fun.
If you are interested in volunteering as a Head Coach please email Kellie Land, kellie.land@carolinaelitesc.com.
