CESA Under-14 Boys Finish The Development Academy Season With Strong Performance in Indianapolis.

Congratulations to the USSF Under 14 Boys and Coach Russell Shelley on a great year.

The CESA Under-14 USSF team recently returned from the U14 Development Academy Showcase held in Indianapolis. The team concluded a successful spring season in which they finished with a 6-1-5 record. While in Indianapolis, the team finished the event with two wins in a draw.

The opening match was against the Internationals from Cleveland, Ohio.

CESA went down in early in the match but equalized when Andrew Halloran converted a penalty. Late in the match CESA was down again but Christian Maya converted off a corner to finish the scoring. In the second match against the Colorado Rush CESA went down 2-0 in the first 20 minutes but scored the next five goals to win 5-2. Andrew Halloran tallied again off of an assist from Grant Wagoner before half to make the score 2-1. In the opening minutes of the second half John Martin tied the match off an assist from Spencer Ayen and minutes later Ayen converted off a cross from Ethan Dutka. Brandon Vogt scored the next two goals to finish the scoring in the game. In the final match against the Boston Bolts, CESA went down first in the match again as the Bolts scored late in the second half, but CESA scored twice in the final ten minutes to win 2-1. Halloran picked up his third goal of the weekend converting a cross from Ethan Dutka, and in stoppage time Dutka made a run from his right back position to put CESA ahead for good. It was a great showing for the team against some of the best teams in the country.
